The exact definition is “a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime”. The bucket in question refers to before you “kick the bucket”…or things to do before you die.
I have one. If you’ve been receiving these emails for a while you will already know how important it is to me. I prefer to call it my Life List. The things I wanted to do to bring me back to life.
A few years ago, my world was hit with tragedy when I found myself single again, grieving and in my mid-40’s. I felt lost, void of direction and unsure even who I was anymore. Everyone who loved me knew I had a passion for travel. They tapped into it and invited me to join them on their holidays. For a year, I wandered around the world, following friends and family.
Then I realised that I needed to take control. I had always carried a checklist in my head of things I wanted to achieve in life. However, up to that point I had never put pen to paper and written it down. But in 2016, I created my first Life List. It became my roadmap, leading me to new experiences and adventures.
Therefore, I am passionate about the importance of having a documented Life List (have I converted you to the name yet?). It has allowed me to create the future I want, and I am convinced it will do the same for you.
My blog Sue Where Why What was born from a desire to share my experiences, in the hope it will inspire others to pursue their travel dreams too. But first you need a plan…
In my recent video, I talk about the process I went through to create my Bucket List, and if you follow each of the steps, it will help you compile yours too. Not only that, but we also go further and I give you all the tools you need to formulate a plan to make it happen.
For me, my Life List was so much more that a tick sheet of experiences. It was the focus that allowed me to find myself while embarking on a whole host of adventures. I hope by watching my video, it will do the same for you.
I have also compiled 201 ideas for your own Travel Bucket List. Some are specific to a location, others you can do wherever in the world you choose…or at home. It is meant to spark your imagination and help you to find your own path. Have you got your copy? If not, click on the link HERE to start your journey now.
So, do you have a Life List yet? If so, what is your number one and why? Hit reply to this email to let me know or connect via your social method of choice (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads or LinkedIn) to give me all the details.
This week, over on YouTube, is my penultimate offering from Puerto Rico. For my latest video, I take an excursion to arguably the best waterfalls on the island, Gozalandia. Here, we explore everything there is to offer for a whole heap of family fun. See it for yourself HERE.
Until next time,
Safe Travels

🗺️ For multi day or week tours, check out G Adventures. I used them for trips in Costa Rica, Peru, and Galapagos.
🤞 I would never leave home without travel insurance. With Safety Wing you can take out an annual policy and pay monthly. This takes the hassle out of having to remember for us regular travellers.
🛫 For cheap flights, check out Skyscanner or join Jacks Flight Club which scans the internet for error fares (UK only).
